The MAAE Breakfast of Champions is an esteemed annual event that celebrates the vibrant tapestry of artistic achievements within Mississippi. It's a day to honor those remarkable Mississippians who ardently champion the arts, providing them with recognition for their invaluable contributions. Bringing together artists, patrons, arts educators, and arts supporters to connect over breakfast, allows a moment for sharing in the joy of creative successes and fostering the growth of the arts across the region before heading to the Capitol to share our stories.  

 

Join us for a morning of empowerment, inspiration, and delightful cuisine as we applaud the stalwarts who keep the artistic spirit of Mississippi aflame. Teachers, administrators, and arts program/institution leaders and other individuals may nominate themselves or their own programs, or others may nominate them. Each award category requires a completed nomination form, a narrative that answers several questions, and supporting documents. Deadline to submit application is Jan. 15th at 11: 59 PM.

• Lifetime Achievement in Arts Education Award

Other awards that may be giving annually also include Distinguished Artist, Cultural Preservation, Community Impact, Emerging Artist, Arts (Education) Champion.
